Experience 2-5 days filled with fun on our Spanish Mustangs
or your own horses at our ranch in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota.
Practice basic, natural horsemanship ground work with gentle but efficient tools such as rope halter, long lead rope and training stick.
Learn to recognize and respond with ease to the variables of horse behavior, be it natural or influenced by its human surroundings
In-hand and round pen exercises to gain mutual trust, softness and true leadership, the way your horse sees and understands it.
Put to use what you have learned during several trail rides in the surrounding National Forest.
Demonstrations include
How to teach your horse to catch you,
Ways to effortless load your horse in a trailer – every time,
How to lay a horse down gently and why,
Bridling a horse,
and much more.
We'll talk about saddle fit and bits, riding from the center, developing softness, and a whole lot more. And of course, there'll be lots of horse talk around the camp fire!
We would like to invite you to participate on one of our well trained Spanish Mustangs, still displaying the whole spectrum of truly natural horse behavior and a lot of fun to work with.
You are, of course very welcome to bring and work with your own horse.
