A Word from the Ranch: Time flies by so fast these days. Here it is  the middle of November already andjust now catching up with the news since July. This first picture was taken on October 20th, 2012 - our 17th Wedding Anniversary and yes I changed my hair color to white, finally living my age in the present and no longer stuck in the past.

Throughout June, July and August I enjoyed creating new wild flower essences - my repertoire is steadily growing and it is so exiting every time to intuitively experience their unique individual healing qualities - I intend to collect all descriptions in a booklet, ready for next years holistic expo season and available to purchase here in my web site.

Several house wrens and purple-emerald green swallows occupied our birdhouses hanging off the pergola and we so enjoy watching them feed their young - as do our cats. Thank goodness, they cannot reach any of them and the birds know it. And we had very unusual visitors in our yard – first 6 bull elk eating from my lilac bushes and then a young mountain lion chasing our cats around the porch, most likely displaced by the 10,000 acre Myrtle Fire near Pringle. What magnificent animals – that is after all my cats escaped, although our Oliver just barely and only due to Jack’s intervention

June also brought us a permanent camper Irwin and his horse Dolly, a retired railroad man, who enjoys nature and riding every day. This brings in not only some great company, but also some extra income – life is good.

July, August and September were unusually hot and very dry months, the sprinkler kept our flower and veggie gardens going and we had an abundant harvest – that is, until the deer decided it was time to jump the fences in late September. It had been too hot for tomatoes, peppers and somehow not right for beans and peas either, but everything else filled our evenly cool pressure tank room as well as 2 freezers. The winter squash, buttercup, Jack’s favorite, is stored on wire panels, hanging from the garage ceiling and for the first time in this life I made pickles and sauerkraut, spaghetti sauce, canned peaches, red beets, green onions, kohlrabi  and Swiss chard. Jack favors zucchini and yellow squash in form of sweet bread, so that’s on the to-do list once a month.

In September and October I attended holistic fairs in Casper and Cheyenne – Jack came along and enjoyed listening to the lectures and talking to the vendors. I introduced him to Eggington’s in Casper and if it wasn't so far from home, I am sure, he would drive there on a regular base, just for his favorite breakfast – Pecan French Toast.

We visited Molly in Lander 3 times this summer, once for a personal private channeling with St. Germain and twice to attend her monthly groups – so nice to see old time friends again and wonderful to gain some loving insights from the highest sources of enlightenment there are.

Normally in the Rainbow Center of the Humanities in Lander, my St. Germain painting is now at home in the Black Hills, at least while my paintings are exhibited in the courthouse in Custer until November 13^th. I was working on the portrait of our beloved dog Rusty when I was asked to display my art there for the first time.

Just in time Rusty's portrait was completed and frame din one of Lester Wise's fabulous custom barn wood frames.

2 of our house cats left us - Pinecone passed away in August and Benny got hit by a truck early this month - have fun on the other side of the veil, little ones and thank you for brightening our days with your joy and love.

End of October, a strange small grey cat with 6 toes showed up at our door in urgent need of help for her injury on her paw. If there ever was a politician, Faith is one,as she integrated very smoothly in our two and four legged family. After recuperating for about 3 weeks, she said good-bye and disappeared just like she came - have a great life, little one.

Now, the hay for the winter for our 6 horses and our boarding horse is in the barn, the first snow has fallen and the fire in the wood stove is burning day and night to keep the house comfortable. Jack has started to take the old barn down, storing the beautiful barn wood carefully. He is also working on an article for a Bella Spark magazine and promised me one for each newsletter.
