* "Merlin, The Magikian"

Pastel Painting - 40" x 32", 2-14-2012

Painting inspired by visions, dreams and meditations, depicting Merlin the Magikian standing on the Rainbow Bridge, inviting us to join him in ascension, to live happily in multiple dimensions, connecting the past with the present and future, timeless and loving as it was intened formthe beginning of al times. In his time in human form, the middle ages, all merlins were bringing the news, in form of songs and tales from castle to castle, form village to village, but this Merlin, known to us from the Arthurian Sagas, was so much more than that - remembering who he truly was, living approximately 450 years, he was making history not just telling about it, known and almost feared for his knowledge of all ages, the past, present and future, connecting the old magikal ways with the new.

The buffalo, a sacred animal among the Native Americans, who treasured the land and its resources long before we came here. In the hill side the spirit of an Native child watches over them and the land.

Pastel Painting from photo, 16' x 20', 2010

This draft horse barn was built around 1889, and has seen a lot of changes happen on our place. Now that it requires major repair on its roof, we consider taking it down, hopefully finding someone to utilize the amazingly colorful old barn wood for decorative purposes.

black hills mountain lions c

*, **, * "Black Hills Mountain Lion and Kitten"

Painting in pastel from 6 photos, 22' x 26', 2009

I love Mountian Lions, hardly ever visible, a vital species and essential to a healthy, natural balance in the Black Hills. This painting is a tribute to this majestic species and sadly a reminder that they are relentlessly hunted again today.
