Bobbie Couter came today and was supposed to take Two Strike with her to get him trained, but insted she ended up purchasing him from me. This is the best that could have ever happened to this shy little athletic horse. She is an accomplished trainer and that’s what he needs and the one-on-one time with his special person.
Good luck to you both and I’ll be posting updates
The new owners of Denim, Sarras and Kola Waste are very very happy with their new pals and so is Tannetta, living in Hope, Maine, who bought our gelding Yuma, as well as Winyan together her colts Eagle’s Echo and Eagle’s Magic last month. This sale was a hard step for me to take - I loved my sweet little mare and her colts dearly, but decided it is time for me to quit breeding. Tanneta offered a super nice home and sencere interest in continuing our Sorraia Mustang breeding program. Her 13 year old daughter fell in love with Winyan right away – they will make a great team. Yuma is still a bit upset, but I am confident that he will get over it very soon
We sent 4 horses to Kirk Hall for training – Dun Deal, coming 4 year old dun SMR gelding – 3weeks into the routine and doing very well

Dun Deal started under saddle Nov 09
Our bay SMR gelding Texas Ranger came home today. He spent almost 6 months with Dave Reynolds in training and is very well broke to ride now. Dave rode him today for me, inspite of the bitter cold.
He is very responsive and soft, nevertheless a very sensitive horse, quick and fast. Dave liked working with him a whole lot and said he is the horse that he would love to buy – I was stunned – that never happened before in all the years that I have known him, he never offered to buy a gelding.
Well, we love him too – he is so pretty and loving – glad he is finally back home – unfortunately I should not keep him - he can do so much more, so he is available for sale to some good rider with knowledgable and soft hands and alove for speed – this fellow is fast and has all it takes for a classy endurance horse, reiner or allrounder.

Texas Ranger 12-3-09
all of our horses made it to Maine, although the halter was missing on Magic and Echo had to stand cramped in the same tiny stall with Yuma – Tannetta was shocked by the looks of the old trailer and the run-down tires of the pickup – guess this shipper is not worthy of recommandations
Today was a happy and also a sad day-Yuma, Winyan and her stud colts Eagle’s Echo(08) and Eagle’s Magic(09) were picked up today to go to their new home with Tannetta Van Vlissingen and her family in Hope, Maine.
I sure hope all of them have a safe and peaceful trip and everybody will be happy together in Maine. I sure will miss them a lot – Magic was my last Spanish Mustnag colt, and I spent lots of hours on the pasture with him and his dam. There will be no more breeding for us here at Plenty star Ranch. Even though I enjoyed it very very much, there comes a time for everything.
Since 2 weeks we have our fisrt boarding horse here and a second one may come next week. There is room for more.
Dun Deal, Winyan’s first colt, now 3 1/2 years old went to Kirk Hall for training this week and Texas Ranger is still at Dave Reynold’s place for some more “speed control”
That leaves us with Born Brave, Romero, Cheyenne, Koche Kola and Two Strike. Two Strike is next in line to go to Dave for training – finally then all our horses are broke to ride
after last weeks sad event, when we had to put our horses Mike (24) and Djinni-Fee(16) down, Jack and I decided it is time to relax more.
Therefore we will be selling all of our remaining 11 Spanish Mustangs, except for maybe 2.
Check them out – 2 potential horses for sale are not listed as of today – Romero and Born Bave- 10 year old geldings, well broke to ride www.plentystarranch.com

She sure can trust him now

Susan and Kola Waste 2009now look a t that!
